- Write and execute testing, write and manage defects
- Provide advice, tracking, guidance, training, problem solving, and consulting in application management, license management, security, and administrative issues
- Act as technical authority for software and application staff; resolve complex software problems
- Develop, test, assure quality, monitor, and maintain products, to ensure interoperability, reliability, security, and system integration
- Contribute to the conceptual and physical design of the projects and lifecycle products, and lead or support implementation
- Build cross-functional relationships to gain support and elicit requirements
- Assist in analyses, planning, specifications, definitions, systems interface, and other technical requirements for new software or applications initiatives to ensure current and future interoperability with NAV CANADA systems and business infrastructure
- May act as technical or functional lead for various operations in own functional area for moderately complex to complex projects to implement new applications, or change management projects
- Graduated from a recognized university or college with a degree or certification in a business discipline, computer sciences, or information systems or an acceptable combination of education, related experience, and training
- 3 or more years’ experience as a business analyst working with diverse stakeholders on projects or lifecycle maintenance and support activities on one or more products
- Experience with business process modelling, eliciting requirements, developing and analysing functional and non-functional requirements
- 3 or more years’ experience developing and executing test cases and acceptance criteria and performing testing and defect management; including with requirement and test management tools (such as Azure DevOps)
- Participation in the design, integration, and implementation of applications
- Experience with integrated project team delivery and coordinating deliverables and contributing to strategy and planning with management
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Knowledge of the methodologies used in support of software development testing and user acceptance testing
- Knowledge of business process modeling, use case development and requirement elicitation techniques
- Knowledge of system integration, maintenance processes, procedures, and business functions as they relate to systems with automated and end-user capabilities
- Excellent requirement gathering and writing, testing, and defect management skills
- Presenting ideas, constructs, and desired outcomes to a small to medium sized audience
- Co-ordination and problem resolution between various stakeholders
- Technical skills and expertise in own functional area
- Coach others in field of expertise, problem solving, teamwork and innovation, relationship management issues; involve others in problem solving, decision-making and creative thinking

The Business Analyst will have full specialization in their own functional area, and will provide third-level technical and operational systems support, advice, and assistance to clients. You will provide expertise in the development, testing, and system integration of complex, business-critical solutions in project and lifecycle settings. You will participate in, or co-ordinate the design and implementation of system changes and enhancements, including: business requirements, technical feasibility assessments, business process modelling, development, license management, testing, configuration, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of various information systems, customer service enhancements, policies, standards, guidelines, and recommended practices.
