Analyzing, consulting, developing, and executing initiatives aimed at streamlining workflows and increasing efficiencies and growth opportunities
Identifying opportunities and making data-driven recommendations for improving business processes and using cross cutting tools and technologies to eliminate problems
Driving use cases enabling our commercial business services team working directly with stakeholders to understand business problems, explore use cases, and the potential of new technologies
Using analytics to provide deeper insight into business performance and future operations. Analyze inputs, objectives, challenges, data models and situations to deliver logical conclusions
Using techniques such as sampling, model building, and structured analysis to ensure solutions are efficient, cost-effective, and financially feasible
Creatively obtain and vet data, develop and execute quantitative data analyses with (potentially incomplete) data, cross-check results to identify potential inconsistencies or limitations
Developing hypotheses, defining detailed functional requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases; including gap and impact analysis
Analytical skills to analyze business requirements, processes, workflows. documents, and data to interpret the needs of customers and translate business requirements for technical teams
Collaborate with technology teams to test, design, and deploy solutions that meet business needs
Propose innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges. Ensure proposed solutions align with the organization's strategic goals and technological capabilities
Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date detailed documentation including business requirements, data, process flows, use cases, and user stories
Awareness of existing technology platforms and emerging technologies to identity and determine potential outcomes that can be achieved through current applications and new offerings
Collaborate with project or program managers to define project scope and exectute deliverables
Identify potential risks and understand business implications of observations, interviews, or analyses
Participate in or lead system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of implemented solutions. Ensure delivered solutions meet the specified requirements and quality standards
5+ years of professional experience working in data-driven business with proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role
Bachelor’s or Master's in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Experience in business optimization and problem-solving with progressive responsibility, preferably within the travel and technology industry
Ability to work within an agile framework collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, business leaders, product managers, engineers, and analytics to transform business opportunities into solutions
Demonstrated experience gathering and synthesizing requirements, use cases, narratives, and business case rationale for validation and delivery with cross-functional groups including finance
Excellent verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Technical knowledge and competence in compiling and communicating the effect of changes
Knowledge of relevant tools such as Miro, JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc
Strong background in B2B technologies and data-driven business models
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) a plus

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.We are looking for a highly skilled and growth-oriented Business Analyst with strong problem-solving and analytical skills along with communication and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the business needs and challenges of customers within Expedia Group and driving opportunities that leverage technology and data to create business value. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and ensuring solutions align with requirements and deliver value. The ideal candidate will have a metrics/data-driven analytical mindset of constantly measuring success and driving continuous improvement in data, tools, content, and programs.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500 to $155,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000 , which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
