DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the Manager Warehouse and Logistics, the Business Analyst Warehouse and Logistics will be responsible for evaluating existing processes, recommending improvements, implementing changes and managing upgrades for various processes within the Acheson Warehouse. This position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to analyze business and customer needs to resolve issues and will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with Field Operations, Procurement, Projects, and Contractors.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
• Participate in the development and implementation of Warehouse Business redesign processes by analyzing business needs against existing systems.
• Review the SAP inventory management and warehouse management processes, make recommendations to leadership and implement required improvements or changes to these processes when identified.
• Review technical and functional documents for accuracy and clarity.
• Provide information and support to Field Operations and Projects on improved material utilization and material initiatives.
• Perform configuration and testing in support of future business and SAP application module deployments.
• Provide support to ensure warehouse material processes are consistent with Service Level Agreements and Business Requirements of Material Services.
• Provide support to service area locations for efficient material storage processes and yard design.
• Manage and promote the Material Supply Process agreement with Material Services’ clients and customers.
• Work closely with IT to manage the implementation of system changes/upgrades.
• Process contractor invoices utilizing the P2P process while reviewing for accuracy, questioning discrepancies and analyzing trends
• Monitor, analyze and report on data and data flow, working with leadership to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Design and develop standard reports to support business needs.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Comprehensive knowledge of all warehouse processes and best practices.
• Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent analytical skills required to identify problems, resolve issues and evaluate possible solutions
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present information to various audiences in both formal and informal settings.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal/external customers and team members; this includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to manage numerous projects and competing demands.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word and Excel), SAP, Power BI, Share Point
• Proven ability to work and lead within a team environment.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management or other related discipline plus five (5) years of experience in a role whose primary duties involve business and data analysis; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Prosci or Project Management certificate, or a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset.
• An International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) accredited certification from a recognized post-secondary institute in Business Analysis, Business Intelligence, or Data Analysis or a professional designation through the IIBA would be considered an asset.
• A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or completed diploma in Supply Chain Management would be considered an asset.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
• Travel to service points within Alberta, including overnight, may be required.
