      PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

      The Lead-to-Cash (L2C) Business Analyst is focused on applications and processes related to the customer experience and is responsible for gathering requirements, user acceptance testing of L2C systems, producing complex reporting, and driving resolution to business production issues to make our L2C systems and technology better. In this role, you will engage and collaborate with Business Stakeholders, and IS teams to identify opportunities to utilize technology related to Marketing & Sales, Customer Portal, Rate Management and Rate Application. You will also enable streamlined processes by acknowledging and understanding people, process and technology. The role supports various L2C systems within CPKC including SAP Transportation Management (Rate Maintenance and Application, Quoting, Contracting), rail industry custom Rate Management applications, and CPKC Customer Portals (Customer Station/MyKCS). This position will require providing service, building and maintaining relationships with the business and functioning as a team player.

      POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

      • Support of all L2C systems including SAP Transportation Management (Rate Maintenance, Rate Application, Quoting, Contracting), CPKC Customer Portals, and rail industry custom Rate Management systems
      • Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, design thinking, task and workflow analysis
      • Reviews and analyzes system problems to identify solutions or recommendations
      • Work with business teams to understand and document business process requirements, analyzing and validating for automation feasibility; assisting the core automation team in creating the business case
      • Perform testing, identify issues with respect to solution performance, communicate required changes to development team and track resolution
      • System requirement identification and documentation analysis
      • Plan and facilitate workshops to identify and validate requirements with IS and business stakeholders in support of projects and opportunities
      • Build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers
      • Solve a range of straightforward problems; analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
      • Receive a moderate level of guidance and direction
      • Leads process mapping/modeling and translates requirements into design
      • May be required to work irregular hours (weekends, after business hours)
      • May be required to perform on call duties
      • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and manage customer/stakeholder expectations
      • Leverages best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services; Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions

      POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

      • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Management, or Information Technology related discipline
      • Experience with SAP Modules with a preference for TM module
      • Experience with Customer Web Portals
      • Business analysis or project management, or equivalent experience
      • Process mapping and project management methodology
      • Ability to communicate effectively, strong written and oral skills to respond to internal and external requests for information
      • Strong problem solving, organizational and planning skills

      NICE TO HAVE :

      • Experience within the rail transportation industry and rail pricing strategies
      • Experience with Salesforce
      • Working with business stakeholders regarding process, procedure and policy development or creation
      • Knowledge of EDI REN interface
      • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish (both written and spoken)

      Management Conductor Program:
