- Conducts current-state risk-based assessments to develop business continuity management strategies and monitors the effectiveness following the implementation of the plan
- Evaluates the performance of plans, processes, and programs at assigned organizational level, while assessing progress towards identified objectives
- Implements, monitors, and modifies procedures for the effective response to incidents and the continuance of critical business services, based on testing and exercises of plans or actual events
- Supports testing of business continuity plans to assess readiness, identify deficiencies, and promote enhancements
- Identifies, validates, and escalates gaps in business continuity readiness to senior management and second line partners
- Create executive-level presentations to review scenarios and objectives with executive stakeholders
- Plan, design, develop, and conduct exercises; manage observations from exercises to closure
- Consult on operational resilience, business continuity, and/or recovery and resolution topics to lines of business
- Facilitate exercise planning and coordination
- Participate in projects and improvements as identified

- 3-5 years of experience in banking or finance

- Adapt to a fast-paced environment involving multiple and simultaneous deliverables
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Bank of America enterprise knowledge is important
- Degree in Emergency Response/Crisis Management/Business Continuity; Business Continuity Certification (BCI or DRII certification), or equivalent in experience.
- Prior response and/or exercise management and facilitation experience
- Prior project management experience
- Consulting experience helpful

Job Description:
This job is responsible for consulting on corporate business continuity topics with clients. Key responsibilities include recommending and implementing solutions that protect the bank's assets and participating or leading business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities (i.e., scenario analysis, plan development, testing, event management, and progress reporting/measurement). Job expectations include providing subject matter consulting support in audit and regulatory matters as needed.The Enterprise Resilience Exercise Planner is responsible for strengthening the Bank's resiliency capabilities by planning, conducting and evaluating exercises. Provides consulting on overall global business continuity management, crisis management, service and operational resiliency, and global resolution and recovery planning. Surfaces issues affecting resiliency and ensures resolution. Facilitates cross-functional activities and discussion groups to strategize stressing and evaluating effectiveness of plans and teams. Extensively collaborates with all domestic and regional partners. Works with design teams to facilitate and execute the scope and deliverables, especially any MRA-related initiatives.
Exercises are used to stress and evaluate related plans and playbooks created by the Front Line Units and Control Functions to discover areas of opportunity and ensure appropriate execution in times of crisis. Through exercises, Front Line Units and Control Functions are able to increase their plan and execution maturity. The Exercise Planner will play a key role in effectively planning, designing, scheduling, and managing enterprise exercises in relation to enterprise stress scenarios (financial and non-financial). This role will need a firm understanding of rules and regulations that govern business continuity, operational resilience, as well as global recovery and resolution, to enable effective planning and execution. Works with project teams to improve operational resiliency.
