      DOE's Clean Energy Corps is made up of the staff from more than a dozen offices across DOE.       Requirements


      • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
      • This employer participates in the e-Verify program.

      • Subject to satisfactory security and suitability requirements.
      • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
      • These positions are to be filled under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA - P.L. 117-58).
      • Positions may be covered by a bargaining unit. Bargaining unit will vary by departmental element, grade, and/or location.

      Qualifications


      SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-12: You must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is defined as:

      • Evaluating proposals in order to determine whether the price is fair and reasonable; AND
      • Experience with automated tools or software to support cost/price analysis; AND
      • Composing written reports and analysis about cost analysis.
      NOTE: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-12 level.

      SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-13: You must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
      • Experience with cost analysis principles, methods, techniques, and procedures AND
      • Experience in the evaluation of financial capability & adequacy of accounting systems of organizations recommended for funding AND
      • Collaborating with internal or external partners to ensure cost estimates are accurate and in compliance with applicable standards AND
      • Strong analytical skills utilizing Excel spreadsheets, formulas, or other analytical modeling

      NOTE: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-13 level.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
