      Job Description:
      This job is responsible for driving and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include providing analytical and administrative support for LOB or ECF specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards. Job expectations include monitoring and testing controls and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF by evaluating data to help identify, track, and report issues and control improvements for remediation.

      Responsibilities:

      • Oversees the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards

      • Supports the monitoring and testing of controls by evaluating data to identify issues and control improvements for remediation

      • Implements optimized controls and enhanced Quality Assurance (QA) practices to support business continuity efforts

      • Conducts and coordinates quality inspection reviews to enhance employee performance and control effectiveness

      • Performs QA activities including executing on controls, managing cases, and reporting results

      • Executes initiatives by identifying areas of potential testing automation, procedural updates, thematic trends, test script updates, and coaching opportunities to enhance QA program success

      • Supports the overall management of and research required for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews and evaluates data and information relevant to inspection metrics to support governance activities for dashboard reporting

      Responsibilities will also include financial controls, budget and planning recommendations, operations analysis, process improvement, project coordination, annual business continuity planning, and report preparation for the tracking, monitoring, and escalation of risk management. This role requires critical thinking, proactive risk management, and a willingness to identify, escalate and debate issues. This role will act as an ambassador of the risk culture and consult with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements.

      Additional Responsibilities:

      • Leads the assessment of the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards.

      • Performs monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation.

      • Manages and reviews all operations front line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews.

      • Ensures accuracy of data and that relevant information is captured for inspection metrics to support governance for dashboard reporting.

      • Monthly reporting: Aggregate, synthesize and evaluate data for senior management to understand the risk and financial landscape.

      • Manage and monitor third party portfolio including vendor sourcing, contract renewals, data management, governance routines, and vendor risk scoring.

      • Support year-end planning needs and annual budget alignment.

      Required Skills:

      • 5 or more years of experience in business support and/or risk management in a complex organization supporting senior leaders.

      • Strong analytical, risk management and organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail.

      • Strategically think across the organization to identify opportunities to improve overall performance efficiency.

      • Flexibility to quickly adjust to changing/competing priorities.

      • Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently.

      • Effective communication (written and verbal) skills to work with process owners, business partners, process designers, OpEx team and other LOB representatives.

      • Extremely organized with excellent time management skills and ability to manage and prioritize competing priorities.

      • Proven ability to develop executive ready communications and presentations that synthesize data and tell the story that can influence others and drive results.

      • Willingness to learn processes, new technology tools and applications (i.e., ORCIT, Process Owner Portal, CIMA).

      • Advanced/Expert MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

      • Follow-through and consistency to deliver on all commitments; with ability to close the loop.

      Desired Skills:

      • Understanding of the business spectrum and global banking businesses (Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets)

      • Prior experience handling multiple facets of an end-to-end business: financial management, project management, governance, operations and technology management, and executive routine coordination.

      • Strong analytical skills, with an investigative mindset and ability to use data to enhance efficiency and develop reporting to drive business insights.

      • Partnership and relationship management skills; ability to work and effectively communicate across functions and organizational lines/levels.

      • Prior experience managing multiple projects and adjusting to changing deadlines.

      • Strong presentation skills and the ability to present key messages, effective recommendations, and information in a clear, concise, insightful, and influential way.

      • In-depth knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and enterprise control functional.

      • Critical thinking with a risk mindset and a desire to generate new thoughts and ideas that drive innovation and unique solutions.

      • Working knowledge of Risk Framework.

      • Understanding of change management process and digital systems, such as CAST, UCRA, PPRT, Materiality Assessment.

      • Ability to work independently, meet goals and deadlines, and documenting actions/outcomes.

      Minimum Education Requirement :

      Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

      Pay and benefits information

      Pay range

      $99,800.00 - $156,500.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

      Discretionary incentive eligible

      This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
