Job Description

- Collaborates with City departments to select, track, and report key performance indicators.
- Assists in developing data collection processes and procedures.
- Develops and maintains public online performance dashboards.
- Analyzes data using quantitative and qualitative methods to generate recommendations, reports, and data visualizations.
- Assists with survey design, deployment, and results analysis.
- Documents procedures and may recommend improvements to data analysis processes.
- Develops and conducts workshops and seminars on data analysis and interpretation.
- May contribute to the development of major planning efforts to ensure sound data collection and analysis.
- Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business, Public Administration, or related field
- One (1) year of experience in data analysis, quantitative research methods, or business/finance (Projects completed as part of coursework may substitute for equivalent work experience)
- Possess one of the following technical skills:
- Experience working with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and reporting tools
- Working knowledge of R, SPSS, Stata or other statistical software
- Experience using Excel for data cleaning, analysis, and reporting, with a strong command of formulas, charts, and pivot tables.
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business, Public Administration, or related field
- Experience working with Smartsheet
