We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

To identify, quantify, plan and control all business design and analysis related activity on change projects in order to support the high performance delivery of change projects.
• Responsible to be the primary custodian of business requirements on change projects, play the role of an intermediary between business and IT in scoping and shaping requirements.
• Provide specialist, objective analytical insight as the trusted advisor to business, demonstrating sound understanding of the business / domain area and in-depth knowledge of IT systems landscape.
• Eliciting, documenting and managing User stories by coordinating and interacting with various stakeholders and mainly Product Owner.
• Striking a balance between the Business Requirements and Technical Feasibility.
• Working with the relevant Technology and Change Project Manager and Solutions Architect, Product Owners responsible for ensuring that the outcomes delivered by projects are consistent and in line with the with the original requirements specified.
• Support the development of systems strategy and plan for the supported business area.
• Supporting UX designs and in mapping the screen fields as-required in different user journeys.
• Provide ad-hoc consultancy as required to the business on technical matters and vice versa.
• Collaborating with stakeholders or dependent departments or projects, if come across anything that might help or hinder the projects, investigate, collaborate and if necessary challenge them.
• Work closely with colleagues on requirements to produce scalable and resilient solution which matches the requirements.What will you be doing?
Business Analysis
• Responsible for understanding the business requirements, breaking down the high level requirements and writing the user stories based on the detailed business requirements.
• Adding clarity to business requirements; challenges business requirements and demands to ensure high quality candidate solutions are created.
• Act as intermediary between business and IT in scoping and shaping requirements to ensure a suitable technical solution.
• Working closely with the product owner and team, align on the strategy and prioritization.
• Responsible for facilitating user story workshops with different stake holders, scoping and estimation.
• Thinks outside of the box to support the business in delivering its strategic objectives rather than just responding to a pre-defined request.
• Works with project managers and Technology Team, dependent departments or projects. If required help the projects team with the relevant investigation and collaborate with various teams.
• Takes responsibility for ensuring that solutions adhere to architectural vison and quality standards and policies and meets the business requirements.
• Able to rationalise between different solution options and define pros and cons based on a driving forces from a commercial, operational and technology viewpoint.
• Manage end-to-end traceability of business requirements from initial scoping through solution-design, quality-assurance and deliveryAdvice and Guidance
• Provide advice and guidance to business stakeholders in shaping the portfolio of technology solutions to be provided to the business.
• Provide the required training and Manage the communication between the business and the different technology teams.
• Gather the user feedback and suggest the improvements as when required.
• Examine, challenge and incrementally improve the user experience of the product.
• Actively contributes to the development and promotion of Barclaycard COO.Strategy Development
• Manage end-to-end traceability of business requirements from initial scoping through solution-design, quality-assurance and delivery.
• Provide guidance and support to the project team by being the primary contact for all business requirements.
• Working with the relevant Solutions Designer, Technical teams supports the creation of an appropriate IT Strategy and frame work for the relevant business area.
• Influence the relevant business strategy to maximize the effective use of technology.
• Build subject and domain expertise. Maintains knowledge of relevant technical specialism(s) at the highest level. Build relationship with business, Technology teams supply channels and SI partners.
• Also maintains knowledge of wider industry regulations, standards and trends.
• Actively contribute to the development of the Business Design Analyst community.
• Take responsibility for delivering to Barclays “5 C” Objectives, Values & Behaviours.What we’re looking for:
• Requirements engineering and documentation with keen attention to detail.
• Experience in IT project work (Infrastructure, Application development, IT-Management); preferably in an agile environment.
• Demonstrable and sound commercial understanding of the Financial Services Industry. Able to apply judgment and analytical rigour to assess business value from IT or regulatory change projects.
• Understanding of Agile and Lean.
• Fluency in English.
• Technical Knowledge and Good understanding of the processing of different financial products.
• University qualifications in Digital, Computing or Technology related subjects (e.g. STEM subjects).Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in IT project work (Infrastructure, Application development, IT-Management); preferably in an agile environment
• Stakeholder management including communication with senior management.
• Robust understanding of technology architecture and systems landscape. A good understanding of open system software’s and its working.
• Ability to map process flows and customer journeys with IT systems landscape.
• Critical and analytical thinking.
• Demonstrable and sound commercial understanding of the Financial Services Industry
• Ability to articulate complex or ambiguous concepts through simple, structured visual representation.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within constraints of timelines and budgets
