Business Development Analyst (Entry-Level / Remote)

Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is a growing federal contracting company providing intelligence, cyber, and training solutions to U.S. Government and Department of Defense customers. We are seeking a motivated Business Development Analyst to support our capture, business development, and proposal operations. This is an entry-level, early-career role designed for individuals who want to learn GovCon business development and grow into capture or proposal leadership positions.

The Business Development Analyst will support the Business Development Team. You’ll perform research, pipeline tracking, and data analysis that enable OTA to pursue and win new contracts. This role is a hands-on opportunity to learn the entire federal capture lifecycle from identifying opportunities to supporting proposal submissions.

      Responsibilities
      • Track and update OTA’s business development pipeline (GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, etc.) and prepare weekly status reports.
      • Research agencies, programs, competitors, and teaming partners to support capture strategies.
      • Prepare briefing books, call notes, and backgrounders for BD meetings and customer engagements.
      • Assist in proposal development: gather resumes, past performance data, and boilerplate content.
      • Support the Proposal Manager with compliance checklists, formatting, and document organization.
      • Take meeting notes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up across the BD team.
      • Contribute to competitive analysis and pricing research to inform pursuit strategies.
      • Learn capture and proposal processes under mentorship, with a clear career pathway to higher-responsibility roles.

      Required Qualifications
      • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
      • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
      • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
      • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn GovCon business development.

      Preferred Qualifications
      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Political Science, Economics, or related field (not required).
      • 1–2 years of professional experience in research, business development, proposals, or related areas (internships or military service count).
      • Familiarity with government contracting processes or tools (GovWin, SAM.gov, Salesforce).
      • Eligibility for a U.S. security clearance.
      • Military service or exposure to the defense/IC community.

      Why Join OTA?
      • Mentorship & Training: Learn GovCon capture and proposals directly from senior leaders.
      • Career Growth: This role is designed as a launch pad into capture management, proposal management, or broader BD roles.
      • Impactful Work: Support pursuits that deliver critical intelligence, cyber, and training capabilities to U.S. national security missions.
      • Flexible Remote Culture: Work fully remote with minimal travel and a collaborative, mission-driven team.
