- Lead estate planning and elder law client matters from start to finish
- Draft wills, trusts, and planning documents (simple to complex)
- Counsel clients with empathy and clarity on their options
- Supervise support staff in document prep and trust funding
- Collaborate with financial and insurance professionals
- Occasionally meet clients in homes or facilities when needed
- Help teach workshops, webinars, and community education events
- 3 days/week in our Chatham, NY office or in a satellite office in the Capital District or Northern Dutchess area
- up to 2 days/week remote
- Monday–Friday with flexible hours (occasional evenings or Saturdays optional
- To be adjusted for Part-time
- Licensed NY attorney with 3-5+ years of estate planning and/or elder law experience
- Skilled at working directly with clients and explaining complex ideas simply
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable using modern legal tech (Zoom, MS Office, CRM, etc.)
- Warm, personable, and community-minded
- Medicaid or irrevocable trust planning
- Estate administration, trust administration or probate
- Health, dental & vision insurance
