- Utilizing cold calls, LinkedIn and email to generate new sales opportunities;
- Identifying the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services;
- Building long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities;
- Proactively seeking new business opportunities in the market;
- Proactively prospecting and selling of solutions to new customers in order to achieve and exceed sales revenue and other performance targets;
- Working closely with other team members in order to close new business deals coming out of prospecting activity;
- Conducting appropriate consultative selling processes including product demonstrations, presentations and tender responses;
- Learning and owning the value proposition and use cases for the assigned portfolio and territory in order for the customer to recognize value and to differentiate over alternatives;
- Contract negotiation, preparation and closing of sale;
- Keeping up to date with market and competitive developments, such as major regulatory changes and new product offerings;
- Preparing and maintaining an effective sales territory plan, including target prospects and markets with trackable activities to meet financial and business targets;
- Keep an accurate record of all client activity, pipeline and forecasts within Salesforce CRM.
Hold relevant training and/or experience in the field;
Demonstrate proven sales experience with the ability to close deals; experience in financial sectors is a plus;
Show strong organizational, time management, and forecasting skills;
Work well under pressure and consistently meet performance targets;
Quickly develop expertise in LexisNexis Risk Solutions and customer use cases;
Exhibit professional networking skills and business maturity;
Operate effectively within a team to achieve shared goals;
Utilize Salesforce CRM efficiently; experience with sales methodologies like SPIN or Insight Selling is an advantage.

About the role
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to help us acquire new customers as we continue to grow rapidly across EMEA. An inside sales position within the EMEA direct sales team, responsible for prospecting and growing revenue within a defined geographic market through proactively selling of LexisNexis Risk Solutions to new customers. The role will also require close collaboration with the rest of the regional sales team to maximise revenue opportunities. Some travel may be required to support customers and attend industry events. The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
