- Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads through targeted cold outreach (email, phone, in-person), event participation, and regional networking.
- Hand off qualified leads to the appropriate Territory Sales Manager, ensuring effective internal communication of critical strategic data, including market trends, pricing, and competitive intelligence.
- Achieve prospecting targets by sourcing new business through trade shows, partner of benefit participants, conferences, events, and direct engagement.
- Gain a thorough understanding of prospects’ business objectives, challenges, competitive landscape, and expansion plans.
- Partner with Territory Sales Managers to support meetings, events, and customer follow-ups to ensure account retention and satisfaction.
- Conduct regular in-state travel to visit potential and existing clients, with periodic travel to Hillsborough, NC for internal collaboration.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by cultivating strong relationships with key decision-makers and understanding each client's specific goals and environment.
- Demonstrate advanced negotiation skills, managing complex or sensitive situations while advocating for mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration across internal teams, departments, and external brand partners.
- 2+ years of proven success in sales or business development within the sports industry, with a strong network of industry contacts.
- Demonstrated expertise in team sports, with the ability to translate market knowledge into tailored client solutions.
- Self-starter with a hunter mentality—proven ability to open new doors and influence customer decision-making cycles.
- Outgoing, persuasive communicator with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; capable of maintaining accurate lead tracking and reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment while nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with regular travel.
