      About this role:

      Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Director/Chief of Staff. The Chief of Staff function is part of the Strategic Programs and Enterprise Change Management (SP&ECM) team. The role reports directly to the leader of SP&ECM. The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic advisor and counsel to SP&ECM leadership team. In addition to the daily operational management routines, the Chief of Staff will support the delivery of the group’s strategic priorities, as well as keeping senior Ops leaders and stakeholders informed on day-to-day activities of the operations. This is achieved through driving activities to meet strategic organizational goals and managing the many tasks that are critical to the efficient and effective operation of the business function. They are responsible for helping executive leaders manage change and translate the strategic vision to their teams and internal partners, stakeholders, and employees. They help achieve integrated organizational goals by defining objectives, measures, and protocols, providing the vision, and ensuring plans are aligned, facilitating collaboration, and monitoring progress.


      In this role, responsibilities will include:

      • Operational Management: Day-to-day operational management of the SP&ECM business office, which includes financials, headcount/Human Capital etc.

      • Strategic Leadership: Work with the Sr. leadership team to define and communicate strategic goals for the organization. Represent and communicate shared vision across the team and with partners across the company. The Chief of Staff needs the ability to speak and present proficiently about the SP&ECM organization and should understand the nuances. Act as an advisor and thought partner to SP&ECM and COO/CAO chief of Staff for all aspects of SP&ECM.

      • Transformation: Special Initiatives and Strategic Projects: Drive administrative, operational, reporting, productivity and quality improvements through special projects in partnership with internal teams.

      • Human Resources: Assist with HR and talent-related exercises across the SP&ECM organization.

      • Learning and Development (L&D): Serve as point of contact for L&D and provide input into L&D strategy to ensure that SP&ECM requirements are being met. This includes hosting monthly forums with division POC and L&D. owning prioritization for SP&ECM asks to ensure L&D is allocating fixed capacity effectively

      • People/Culture Strategy: Co-own the ongoing development and implementation of the SP&ECM Employee Engagement strategy with HR, SP&ECM Leaders etc. This includes Day of Service, Lunch and Learns, Leadership Connect series, Town Halls, etc. Identify ways to bring diverse teams located in US and I&P together to build trust and understanding and one SP&ECM mindset.

      • Executive Presentations: Lead the preparation and production of executive presentations, including but not limited to Business reviews, board meetings, regulator meetings, all hands meetings, internal and external speaking engagements, off-sites, and special events.

      • Communications and Storytelling: centralize like divisional communication at SP&ECM level, and drive the internal communication function including team emails, management of the team web site, newsletters, blogs, and video production in partnership with corporate communication team

      • Scorecards, KPIs: Develop and oversee monthly scorecards for risk, operational, customer experience, enterprise OKRs and ensure timely submissions to ensure areas trending red have remediation plans and timeframes and that accurate status information is provided to the senior management.

      • Support for other administrative duties and ad hoc projects, as necessary including Finance, Technology, HR, Vendor Management and coordination with other Business Office teams to build and maintain the appropriate supporting infrastructure for SP&ECM business management.

      • Ensure headcount is accurate, real estate is inventoried and planned, and onboarding and termination of resources are managed for SP&ECM (where required).

      • Work with divisional support Managers to ensure clear and timely reporting of new and emerging business management issues to senior management

      • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

      Required Qualifications, US:

      • 8+ years of Project Management, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

      • 4+ years of management experience

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Previous experience serving as chief of staff for senior executives in a large scale global organization.

      • 8+ years’ experience in Project Management, Chief of Staff, Business Manager in consumer financial services organization, preferred.

      • Leadership and adaptability when facing unique challenges encountered to effectively work with individuals in diverse cultures and business environments.

      • Proven ability to work independently and in a multi-tasking, high pressure environment with strong strategic and conflict resolution skills and deep sense of ownership over success of deliverables.

      • Proven ability to lead through influence and partner through conflict to arrive at mutually agreeable solutions, keeping the best interests of the organization

      • Proven ability to digest large amounts of information and determine the appropriate level of detail to employ for executive presentations.

      • Strategic and analytical thinker who can analyze technical data to make appropriate process/business decisions/recommendations and shape business strategy.

      • Strong work ethic and a proactive mindset with ability to think “outside of the box” to solve problems.

      • Strong communication skills with an ability to manage internal and external relationships up to board level stakeholders.

      • Negotiating skills, demonstrated collaborative and consensus building strengths. Proficient in engaging and influencing large teams and executive leaders.

      • Demonstrated experience building and delivering presentations to all levels of management across the organization in both small and large settings.

      • Experience in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders.

      • Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

      • Excellent analytical skills

      • Excellent Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

      • Strong team player and work effectively in a matrix organization

      • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments

      • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal

      Job Expectations:

      • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

      • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

      • Willingness to work on-site in one of the listed locations
