  The Business Insights Analyst position is responsible for developing data-driven, actionable insights that contribute to all parts of the business. This position requires the ability to draw conclusions from imperfect and incomplete data, apply various statistical techniques, create business insights, identify key drivers, develop analytical/self-service reporting tools, and develop strategies that drives profitability. Above all, this position will help shape the strategic direction of your business stakeholders by ensuring best analytical practices and techniques are used throughout the enterprise. The Business Insights Analyst works as a strategic thought partner, sharing knowledge of the data-driven insights and key drivers to drive profitable business results.

  Essential Duties:

  • Identify favorable and unfavorable data trends. Lead discussions with business stakeholders, providing key results, insights, and recommendations for improved performance
  • Create analytical/self-service tools that help drive the business stakeholders to independently take control of their own data and quick insights
  • Understand how to work with our data universe and reporting tools
  • Use Databricks, PowerBI, PowerQuery, MS Excel, and SQL to develop simple or complex analysis and derive insights that will help drive business decision making
  • Create dashboards in PowerBI that highlight business KPIs and quick insights
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify project requests, needs and output
  • Continuously seek to learn of changes in the industry and enterprise to improve department performance
  • Ability to problem solve in a structured and logical framework that encompasses problem statement definition, data analysis, and insights and recommendations
  • Interface with business stakeholders on a regular basis in order to deliver KPI results, insights, project updates, and accurate recommendations regarding their business
  • Dynamically shift working priorities based on agile methodology and be able to help your fellow analysts
  • Quickly pivot to high/critical ad-hoc reporting/analysis needs from the business
  • Positively contribute to the team culture of Business Insights Team by collaborating on projects and participating in mob programming sessions

  Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree in business or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Basic to Intermediate understanding of SQL and Data Visualization Tools
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Python and R preferred
  • Proven ability to take complex business analyses and projects from concept to completion and make the results accessible and relevant to business users at all levels
  • Self-directed, innovative thinker with a strong attention to detail and commitment to consistently meeting timelines and operating from a sense of urgency.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, maturity to handle ambiguity, flexibility to perform in a dynamic environment, and ability to multitask across projects simultaneously
  • Formulate business recommendations and alternative solutions based on prepared and analyzed statistical data
  • Intellectual and analytical curiosity, initiative to dig into the 'why' of various results
  • Utilize analytical thinking skills and intuitive sense to efficiently maintain data quality
  • Effectively translate complex data and analyses into presentation of findings, insights and strategic recommendations
  • Formulate business recommendations and alternative solutions based on prepared and analyzed statistical data
