      About the role:

      Data is continuously generated by hundreds of thousands of Customers and Cat machines that are operated around the globe. This is creating a gold mine of information to support our customers growth and deliver insights to Caterpillar teams. The Business Intelligence analyst lead Strategic and Tactical analytic projects focus on resolving business problems to unlock service growth potentials and customer value. Turning data into insights, customer value and growth is essential to Caterpillar industries and the Cat Digital organization.

      As Business Intelligence analyst, you will join a diverse team which focuses on discovering the future of aftermarket through the analytics of field data, thus ensuring that the best decisions are made by our internal partners to achieve our Service growth goals.

      Comfortable working in challenging environments with a contagious passion for leveraging data analytics to inform decisions, you will play a key role in sales development project as well as part availability initiatives by communicating understandings and representing our team.

      By joining the Insights team, your contributions will support futures Service sales supporting in all industries served by Caterpillar. You will be an integral part of our team of talented Insight’s analysts covering all Caterpillar industries working alongside of other data scientists and analysts in Cat Digital organization. You will gain experience in a vibrant and diverse multinational organization and develop your understanding of business practices and the data driven revolution.

      Job Duties:

      • Assisting in the development, testing, and delivery of services/products.

      • Supporting senior analysts by fulfilling their data requests, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance.

      • Identifying user/client requirements for a product or service and defining technical specifications.

      • Analysing existing offerings, preparing technical documentation, and recommending upgrades.

      • Conducting market research to do a comparative analysis of competitor offerings and provide recommendations for developing a more effective product/service.

      • Preparing technical documentation and sharing them with senior analysts and technical teams.

      • Participating in initiatives to improve processes efficiency and employee productivity.

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Ability to collect, identify, analyse, and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.

      • Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices, and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities.

      Top candidates will also have:

      • Additional experience in a similar role with business intelligence objectives, interaction with customers.

      • Ability to work with technical and non-technical user.

      • Additional European language is a plus.

      Background / Experience:

      • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Finance or Computer Science.

      • 2+ years prior experience as Business Intelligence Analyst or similar.

      • Experience is using SQL.

      • Knowledge R, Python, Snowflake.

      • English
