      Job summary

This role will provide leadership to the LCH Business Intelligence Team. Alongside your colleagues leading the Warehousing and Performance teams and the Head of Business Intelligence and Performance, you will deliver insight and intelligence to Leeds Community Healthcare.

You will lead a team to develop new reporting applications, maintain and review existing applications and deliver regular reporting. We have a well-established platform that delivers reporting online. We plan to produce most of our new reports using Power BI, but some existing reports are delivered via SSRS and Excel.

Day-to-day your role will involve managing reporting development projects, scoping new work and supporting the team. You will also be expected to contribute to trust-wide standards and processes to deliver reporting that will have impact both within and beyond the team.

There will be a regular need to be in the office to attend face to face meetings and team development sessions, but the team works remotely most of the time and many meetings take place online. We offer a flexible approach to working hours and are happy to consider arrangements outside the standard 9 to 5 pattern if these suit both parties.

      Main duties of the job

Your main duty will be to ensure that relevant and accurate information and intelligence about the services LCH provides, is available to support business processes and decision making. This will include ensuring that statutory and contractual reporting requirements are met. Development of new and existing business intelligence systems will be part of this. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing the processes needed for successful roll out and maintenance.

You will be an expert in your field and contribute to how non-BI systems and processes are developed to ensure effective data capture and processing. You will be a talented analyst who is able to present complex and sometimes highly contentious data to non-technical colleagues.

Leadership to the team is key to this role. You will need to use coaching and mentoring approaches to help the team develop both their technical and non-technical skills and upskill them for future opportunities.

We welcome any questions or queries about the role and are happy to discuss further details. If you would like to do this, please contact Victoria Douglas-McTurk v.douglas-mcturk@nhs.net

Adverts will close early where the maximum number of applicants is reached.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
