- Assign and track Division work projects in coordination with Wildlife Division Administrators.
- Actively monitor, track, and oversee hiring processes for the Division. Duties may include but are not limited to, coordinating with HR to post job announcements, review applications, schedule interviews, correspond with applicants, follow through on hiring decisions, and ensure appropriate records for all hiring processes are maintained as required.
- Assist Wildlife Administrators and work unit supervisors by coordinating logistics of employee training events. This will include law enforcement in-service and other training events as directed by the Wildlife Administration.
- Research and gather data for reports and presentations in support of Wildlife Administration responsibilities to the Director’s Office, Commission, Wyoming Legislature, and other organizations.
- Maintain records, databases, and archives for the Division per state law and Division protocol.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Wildlife Division Chief.
- Develop Division protocols and procedures for daily operations and business functions to ensure continuity of operations in a complex and highly demanding work environment.
- Use project management and tracking software to assist Wildlife Administrators in meeting deadlines and addressing complex issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide input to the Division’s budget development and ensure resources are appropriately utilized to accomplish Division priorities.
- Coordinates travel and logistics for Division meetings. Provides note-taking, assignment tracking, and follow-up on all meetings.
- Participates in various committee assignments within the Division and Department as assigned by the Wildlife Division Chief.
- Respond to emerging issues, complex challenges, and exigent circumstances related to Wildlife Division responsibilities and make appropriate decisions and assignments, often without the opportunity to receive input or guidance from Wildlife Administrators.
- Supervise the Business Office Coordinator I and delegate assignments as necessary.
- Exceptional customer service skills and creative problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of business administration concepts and principles.
- Knowledge of Wyoming State Statutes in Title 23 and 41 and Wyoming Game and Fish Commission Regulations.
- Knowledge of record keeping, task tracking, and archiving.
- Knowledge of database development and management.
- Knowledge and expertise in project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skill in technical editing for the review of manuals, policies, procedures, and briefs.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with project and workload management concepts and software programs.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.
- Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department seeks a Business Office Coordinator II to manage the daily operations of the Wildlife Division’s Administration Office in our Cheyenne Headquarters. The Wildlife Division has approximately 190 Full-Time Employees (FTEs) in 16 work units (8 statewide and 8 regional). This position will assist the Wildlife Division Chief, Wildlife Deputy Chiefs (3), and work unit supervisors in program planning and tracking ongoing projects and initiatives in the Division to ensure continuity of operations in the Department’s largest Division. This position will track the Wildlife Division's commitments to the Director’s Office, Wyoming Game and Fish Commission (Commission), and other Divisions and ensure high-quality products are produced and submitted within assigned deadlines. This position will supervise a Business Office Coordinator I and delegate tasks and assignments as necessary to complete Division obligations. This position will research and gather data on a range of topics for reports, presentations, and white papers. This position will coordinate travel, meetings, and statewide training logistics for the Division. This position will coordinate the logistics of all hiring processes in the Division and work closely with Human Resources (HR) to ensure compliance with applicable statutes, rules, and procedures.
