Business Planning AnalystDescription -
The HP Store is the ecommerce shopping experience for visitors wanting to buy PCs, printers and other products directly from HP. The HP store team is a dynamic, fast-paced ecommerce organization with a start-up mentality and digital-first mindset. Within the HP Store, the Sales Operations team is looking for a Business Planning Analyst who will be focused on sales enablement and supporting day-to-day sales generation activities within the Sales and Contact Center.
Responsibilities of the Role
· Conduct and summarize complex data to identify trends, develop business plans, including revenue and demand projections, business performance reviews, etc.
· Act as a business consultant offering data-driven insights to sales teams and category teams. Identifies pockets of opportunity and helps create/enable a plan of action.
· Work cross-functionally to plan and execute activities during specific sales periods. Conducts post-mortem analysis on sales to learn from and improve future performance.
· Develop and manage sales contests, track performance and report impact of contests to stakeholders.
· Construct forecast and financial models with minimal direction to forecast business performance, project-level ROI and advise on investment opportunities.
· Define the metrics required to measure business performance and compares actual data to forecasted values.
· Execute market research projects, gathers intelligence on current industry, technology, and consumer trends, and summarizes research findings tailored to business needs.
· Work with cross-functional teams to support the success of various categories within HP.com
· Support the execution of priority projects with direction. May contribute to larger projects and drive small projects to improve processes or enable sales.
· Support and help to execute on organizational strategy and objectives.
Education and Experience Required
Typically 2-4 years experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. First level university degree.
Knowledge and Skills
· Knowledge and experience in sales enablement processes and technology
· Strong analytical thinking, technical analysis, data manipulation and research skills.
· Ability to identify, synthesize and summarize relevant trends from multiple data sources.
· Strong knowledge of Excel, data analysis, and financial modeling.
· Ability to experiment, innovate and develop solutions using agile concepts.
· Demonstrated business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
· Ability to work effectively within and across teams as well as with individuals of all levels.
· Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
· Developing project management and process improvement skills (e.g. Green Belt)
· Ability to apply a growth mindset to all aspects of the role.
