Job Description

- Works under immediate supervision receiving instruction/training in user and technical documentation, project and resource planning
- Works with outside contractors to address system issues and request software changes, application changes and/or system maintenance
- Gathers information centrally to provide customized statistical reports for Operations Support Center (OSC) and institution staff
- Analyzes, identifies and evaluates processes and reports within the CACTAS system and works with the supplier to request system upgrades
- Provides agency wide customer service and system support for the CACTAS application via the Service Now platform
- Provides support and technical assistance with incarcerated persons (IP) payroll, kiosk deposits, ViaPath interfacing, uploading and posting
- Provides support and technical assistance with phone time sales, media interface and works with ViaPath extensively to resolve issues timely
- Creates IP debt categories within CACTAS for RIB restitutions, tablet fees, copier card expenses and dental/optical fees
- Approves and enters fundraisers and Fresh Favorites sales into CACTAS for institutions Creates item codes, sets maximum quantities and limits sales amounts
- Gathers sales data, transfers funds and initiates payments
- Monitors sales tax increases and enters changes into CACTAS to ensure sales taxes are being tracked and paid appropriately
- Responsible for applicable sales tax changes (by county) and coding items as taxable or nontaxable; enters, updates and maintains bank accounts
- Provides system access support agency wide to meet the needs of the end user Responsible for all CACTAS operations to include child support, court collections, medical co-pays, federal filing fees, and Rules Infraction Board (RIB) restitution
- Ensures nightly interface of INF files for deposits to IP accounts
- Maintains indigent status of IP accounts and those processes affected by indigency status for commissary Completes configuration of Scanners, Thermal printers, Micro Check Printers and software
- Creates and interprets IP demand statements, IP debts, collections journals, profit and loss statements, trial balance and balance sheets
- Understands various types of IP income, deposits/revenue and court collections along with policies and procedures
- Works with each institutions cashier staff, commissary staff and business administrators Works with outside vendors, IP family members and the public
- Understands commissary operations to include, purchasing, payables, inventory, price markups and items sold
- Understands DOTS application and the impact it has on IP classification, state pay, and incentive pay within the CACTAS application
- Assists in the identification of documents and analysis of business requirements for implementation of IT solutions
- Creates IT process flows and recommends policy changes based upon those workflows Provide and assists with project planning and coordination of activities and recommends possible solutions to identify business problems

-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science, information systems, or business administration; 12 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
