      Contribute as an expert on enterprise software and system functionality and the intended business application within the enterprise environment.

      • Be an expert on system functionality and the intended business application
      • Act as an internal process and application consultant to the business and the ITS organization.
      • Review activities regarding software upgrades, interfaces and enhancements to ensure work estimates and forecast are accurate and achievable.
      • Provide evaluation of external systems adaptability to existing enterprise applications in order to assess the cost of integrations.
      • Provide quality control for EBP internal management processes.
      • Mentor department peers on software capabilities and best practice processes.
      • Recommend, document and implement policies and procedures within the work group including; documentation standards, change control and software standardizations
      • Official liaison to software vendor on functional enhancements to meet current and future enterprise needs.
      • Interface with enterprise software suppliers regarding product strategies to meet Solar’s requirements.
      • Communicate proposed vendor improvements across applicable enterprise process owners.
      • Interface with Solar management to ensure business data requirements are being met and that enterprise application functionality efficiently meets business-reporting objectives.
      • Provide expert consulting to resolve business process conflicts either thru process alternatives, process remapping or system enhancements
      • Promote standard software processes to meet varying business objective by providing solutions existing in the enterprise software.
      • Provide Advice to the process improvement team in system provided alternatives to achieve the business objectives without customizations.
      • Act as a stakeholder on large-scale implementation teams comprising of business, functional consultants and technical personnel.

      This position is important to the ongoing Warehousing ERP process improvement effort throughout Solar insuring that data integrity and appropriate controls for accurate financial results can be achieved and maintained.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • 5+ years of experience in ERP and related applications in multi-company complex environments.
      • Four-year degree in MIS, CS, Engineering or Business Admin
      • 2+ years of experience working with BaaN and ERP/LN.
      • Understanding of Warehouse Management and Supply Chain Functions

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Expert level knowledge in enterprise system functionality
      • Knowledge of Infor Factory Track and/or ConnectWare
      • Experience in Solumina MES and Quality Management
      • Broad understanding of multiple business functionalities (warehousing, supply chain, engineering, planning, production, service)
      • APICS CPIM Certification or equivalent
      • Clear understanding of industry business models and life cycles (Warehousing, Manufacturing, Distribution, Service, etc.)
      • Demonstrated project management skills
      • Strong communication and collaborative skills

      Summary Pay Range:

      $117,940.00 - $176,910.00

      Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
