- Provide administrative support for the product development framework (i.e., maintain functional partner list, coordinates/facilitates meetings; prepares draft agendas for review; issues agendas with appropriate backup materials; sets up meeting; takes minutes, and provides follow-up correspondence, etc.)
- Analyze business needs, document requirements, and translate needs into business specifications
- Create, control, and improve end-to-end business processes
- Prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines
- Serve as SME for the product development framework; provide explanations and information to project teams on topics within area of expertise
- Provide coaching on key tools & templates (project plan, checklist, status reporting, etc.)
- Provide expert advice to teams on project scope & approach
- Demonstrate and understanding of Health Care processes & terminology (filings, Certificate of Coverage, etc.) and UnitedHealth Group's business processes & applications (i.e. USP, UNET, Agile, etc.)
- Field and assess requests from project teams; be able to troubleshoot and correct problems independently
- Interact daily with project teams and functional partners throughout the organization
- Documenting simple and complex changes, including updating changes to workflows, artifacts, processes, and procedures, and others as directed
- Ensure that all stakeholders are fully informed of new/updated deliverables, and identify/escalate any issues communicated by stakeholders
- Support leadership with functional partner meeting, attendees of 200+
- Act as back-up for hosting key meetings as needed
- Manage speed to market by helping to move projects through the product development phases by tracking dates, reaching out project teams, sending reminders and escalating to leaders as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements & efficiencies within the framework
- Implement end-to-end process changes or improvements (analysis to implementation)
- Manage SharePoint site including following up with partners for updated materials, verifying verbiage, confirming links, etc.
- Assist with functional partners throughout the year to review response rates, functional partner deliverables and request feedback on the process
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience)
- Experience as a Business Analyst analyzing and documenting requirements
- Experience with documenting processes and practices
- Desire, interest, and experience in project coordination or management role
- Desire, interest, and experience in business process work related to healthcare business product development and market launch
- Experience working in the health insurance industry
- Demonstrated experience effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience working independently in a matrix environment
- Demonstrated experience with cross functional collaboration and relationship-building
- Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio
- Demonstrated critical thinking and navigating ambiguity to deliver quality results
- Experience influencing in a matrixed environment
- Proven experience with or owning driving projects; ability to successfully conceptualize an initiative, develop a plan and execute the plan through implementation
- Experience managing multiple priorities and supporting complex projects
- Project management experience
- Business process methodology experience
- Experience writing technical or business requirements
- Demonstrated ability to support innovation and work in a changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to use Visio to document current and future state processes/process flows
- Proven analysis and requirements gathering
- Proven self-starter, attention to detail, solid organizational skills

- Proven excellent customer/consultant relationship and collaboration skills that influence successful outcomes

The Business Process Analyst position supports the Product Development Framework (U-Accelerate) within E&I Commercial Product and reports to the Associate Director within the Product Readiness Organization. The U-Accelerate framework is used by project teams to help identify impacts, reduce risks associated with bringing products/enhancements to market and ensures successful product launches. At any given time, we have over 70+ active projects in the different phases. The position is the first point of contact for project teams and provides training & support to project teams that are navigating the product development process.
