      The Position

      The “Site Network Basel/Kaiseraugst” organization, part of the global Group Function “Corporate Strategy, Sustainability & Sites”, provides the infrastructure and services for the entire site and develops these continuously and innovatively.       Within the “Site Network Basel/Kaiseraugst” organization, we design tailor-made solutions together with our stakeholders in the “Business Solutions” cluster. In the “Business Process Engineering” group, we ensure that the applications provided for “Logistic Solutions” are supported and further developed accordingly.

      In the role as an application supporter, you ensure the resolution and management of incidents related to the applications we oversee, and implement new requirements in collaboration with IT and the responsible teams in accordance with the CSV-regulations..

      Your opportunity

      As an application supporter, you will work in a small team to ensure the most uninterrupted operation of our applications. You are responsible for managing and resolving application-related incidents as first-level support, ensuring efficient service restoration by collaborating with various stakeholders such as Business Process Owners, Customers, IT, QA, and Suppliers. You also handle request and enhancement management by creating, reviewing, and aligning requirements, and overseeing their implementation. Regular monitoring of application performance and availability is critical to detect and prevent potential issues. Troubleshooting and solving application-related problems are essential responsibilities, along with maintaining accurate documentation of incidents, service requests, and application changes. Providing timely user support, conducting application tests after changes, and offering training and guidance on application features are also within your purview. You ensure compliance with CSV-compliance and security standards, contribute to continuous improvement of support processes, and cooperate in projects to integrate objectives into the applications.


      The main tasks of the application supporter are:

      • Incident Management: Provide first-level support, resolving application incidents and collaborating with stakeholders for service restoration.

      • Request & Enhancement Management: Act as a business analyst to create, review, and manage the implementation of system requirements.

      • Application Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor application performance and availability, diagnosing and resolving issues.

      • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, requests, troubleshooting steps, and application changes.

      • User Support & Training: Offer timely assistance and guidance to end-users on application queries and features.

      • Testing: Conduct post-change/update testing to ensure correct application functionality.

      • Compliance: Guarantee applications adhere to CSV-compliance and security standards.

      • Continuous Improvement & Project Support: Contribute to ongoing process enhancement and assist in integrating project objectives into applications.

      Who you are

      • Application Expertise: Deep system knowledge in SAP EWM and TM.

      • Process & Incident Management: Profound understanding of application support processes and IT incident handling.

      • Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong ability to diagnose complex problems and excellent oral and written communication for stakeholder engagement.

      • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with CSV compliance and security standards.

      • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both spoken and written English and German.

      • Team & Organizational Skills: Proven ability to work effectively in a team with good organizational talent.

      • Flexibility & Customer Focus: Adaptable to changing demands, agile, and strongly customer-centric.
