      Your Role: As a Project Manager you will partner with project owners across a diverse scope of initiatives and will determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will use your project management experience to develop clear project plans that account for dependencies across all business teams and IT and actively manage to the project plan to keep initiatives on time and organized. You will also act as an advisor to team members to meet schedules and/or resolve problems. As well as manage the coordination of activities of cross-functional and matrixed teams for results, including costs and timely delivery.

      Your work:

      • Supports multiple projects and cross-functional teams spread across multiple geographical locations through meetings and progress measurement activities which bring specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

      • Effectively manages interpersonal relationships by motivating team members, providing constructive feedback, and celebrating success. Works in close partnership with initiative owners, change managers, and team members to achieve shared goals.

      • Kicks-off new projects by developing a project strategy to mitigate risks and clear project plans that account for span times for all activities, dates that must be met, and dependencies across all business teams and IT (primary focus will be deliverables across business teams and deliverables to IT). Creates Gantt charts for all projects.

      • Actively manages to the project plan to keep initiatives on time and organized. Provides clarity on roles and responsibilities, identifies risks, identifies cross-project dependencies, and ensures that resources are available throughout the project.

      • Identifies risks and assesses the potential effect on the project. Develops and recommends plans to mitigate risks, monitors status of risks throughout the project and informs key stakeholders.

      • Regularly reviews schedule performance against plans and handles problems that arise. Implements corrective actions when the performance deviates from the project plan and exhausts all possible strategies and approaches to get the projects back on track.

      • Manages effective and efficient communications by scheduling necessary meetings, preparing meeting agendas, recording key notes, and keeping teams informed and committed. Prepares thorough and timely progress reports on all projects.

      • Closes out projects by securing appropriate approvals, conducting post-project evaluations, creating transition plans, and ensuring access to and/or archival of critical documentation.

      Required Experience, Education and Skills

      • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience

      • Experience in P&C Insurance

      • 8-10 years project management principles and methodologies obtained by assisting/coordinating mid-scale projects.

      • 8-10 years Program/Project delivery experience (50,000 - 250,000 Hours)

      • Ability to apply project management best practices and methodology.

      • Ability to motivate project teams and stakeholders.

      • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, MS Project, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat and NT.

      • Proven ability to work on several projects simultaneously and under tight schedules.

      • Proven decision-making abilities.

      • Demonstrated ability to understand and work with analytical tools, reports, and technology.

      • Very strong verbal and written communication skills

      • Experience working in Scaled Agile environment.

      • Project Management Certification a plus (PMP, CSM, CAPM, SAFe, etc.).

      • Six Sigma or Lean process improvement experience a plus.

      • Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.

      • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc

      The national average salary range for this position is $121,000- $134,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $108,000-$161,000. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
