      Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

      The Business Strategy Plan Director is responsible for business unit strategic planning and translation of line of business and enterprise goals into three-year market-level tactical plans. This individual will serve as a liaison between multiple cross-functional teams, developing a deep expertise in line of business goals, contracting goals, and solutions to drive market-level performance. This role will inform strategic priorities for the evolution of value-based payment models and provider enablement capabilities to drive provider success in value-based arrangements and market-level transformation.

      How you will make an impact:

      • Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future.

      • Translates strategy into define tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprises’ strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.

      • Documents and synthesizes strategic priorities such as external environment and barriers to progress against market plans into clear recommendations for enterprise roadmap and investments.

      • Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.

      • Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.

      • Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities.

      Minimum Requirements:

      Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 years of strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

      Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experience:

      • Master’s degree preferred.

      • Ability to travel may be required.

      • Demonstrated success delivering in a matrixed organization preferred.

      • Prior Health Plan experience preferred.

      • Prior value-based care and/or contracting strategy experience preferred.

      • Excellent leadership and analytical skills preferred.

      • Experience developing and delivering executive communications preferred.

      • Portfolio and/or project management of key initiatives preferred.

      For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $127,600 to $229,680.

      Locations: California; Colorado; Nevada; Washington State; Jersey City, NJ; New York City, NY; Ithaca, NY and Westchester County, NY.
