If you think all banks are the same, you’d be wrong. We’re an innovative, constantly evolving business that’s shaping finance as a force for good. A bank that’s empowering its people to innovate, explore possibilities and grow with purpose to help Britain prosper.

If you’re looking for a role that provides you with excellent opportunities to understand the Group Corporate Affairs function and the wider Group then come and join the team!

We’re looking for an ambitious and proactive team member to join the Chief Corporate Affairs Officers business support team at Lloyds Banking Group as Business Support Manager.

Reporting to the Executive Assistant, you’ll provide direct support to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and wider team, understanding the function and the Group, influencing key partners and contributing to the smooth running of the team.

You’ll have the unique and exciting opportunity to have a bird’s eye view of the team, building far-reaching relationships and improving your understanding of the strategic priorities of the function and wider Group.

Experience in a similar role is preferred. It’s not crucial that this has been in a Corporate Affairs function – an interest / curiosity in the area and a willingness to get stuck in is key.

      You'll:

      • Play a crucial part in the efficient day to day running of the Executive’s office, working alongside the Executive Assistant and Personal Assistant.
      • Build positive relationships with Leaders across the team to support and understand their business areas and priorities.
      • Take a leading role in monthly Leadership Team meetings and all colleague calls including agenda setting, content collation, logistics and minute taking / action tracking where relevant.
      • Own the team’s communications and engagement approach including drafting internal and external communications on behalf of the Executive.
      • Prepare papers and track actions to completion across GCA for key forums including Group Executive Committee and Board.
      • Undertake ad-hoc projects and recommend solutions / actions as asked by the Executive and/or Executive Assistant.
      • Support the team’s people and culture ambitions, supporting the leadership team to deliver key activity.
      • Engage key partners including the Group Chief Executive Office and those of other GEC members to stay ahead of emerging matters.
      • Champion the team and provide counsel and challenge to ensure the function is appropriately represented and adaptable.
      • Challenge internal processes, working closely with the Operations team to support GCA in keeping things simple and avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.

      You’ll have:

      • Experience in a Business Support capacity and in managing high workloads.
      • An interest and/or experience in communications and a passion for engaging a wide audience.
      • A strong attention to detail.
      • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise effectively, handling competing demands.
      • A proven understanding of Microsoft Teams and its functionality (and that of the future!).
      • Experience in paper production, minute taking and action tracking.
      • A good track record of building strong, positive relationships with others.
      • A knowledge of social media and internal communication channels with a desire to support the Director in building his presence internally and externally.
      • A passion for people.
      • A creative approach, looking to the future and bringing new insights and ways of working to the table.
      • Strong team spirit and proactivity – there are busy times we all need to pull together!
