Configure systems and business processes, working as part of a team to enhance and streamline systems;
Develop and maintain systems solutions to meet the needs of the University;
Provide development specifications for new development as well as enhancements and maintenance of existing systems;
Provide maintenance support for systems, identifying problems, and working with developers and end users as necessary to resolve production problems;
Implement application solutions that are reliable and secure;
Document and ensure proper sign-off of access requests;
Provide advice and technical expertise in generating complex reports;
Test and provide quality assurance measures, working with DBA, developers, and stakeholders;
Complete all work tickets as required , using tracking software to provide a maintenance record for all changes; co-ordinate and share relevant information as necessary;
Serve as lead analyst/project leader for small projects and enhancements of enterprise solutions, directing the work of other team members as required ;
Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones;
Work with customers to discuss system problems, propose enhancements and new projects, and define and refine business processes;
Develop a good understanding of customer’s business practices to ensure usability and acceptance of software applications and systems;
Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, software, and development methodologies.
A Bachelors degree or college diploma in a related field;
Experience with analysis and support of IT business processes, including configuring and imp le menting systems, working in a team, extr acting and analyzing data using database tools (e.g., SQL), and designing and developing integrations;
Understanding of the University’s systems, information and business requirements ;
Familiar with using industry standard project management methodology (i.e. PRINCE2, PMP);
Strong understanding of, and ability to use, object oriented and database programming languages, including but not limited to, SQL, VB.Net , ASP.Net , Java, EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, C#, Model-View-Controller (MVC) Frameworks or other integration technologies;
Competent and proficient understanding of office productivity applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and Project;
Ability to design, develop, and implement custom integrations and web pages;
Ability to work with Databases to analyze data using SQL;
Ability to document systems and business processes using a variety of methods and tools;
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture Concepts;
Written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills;
Ability to negotiate solutions that can be effectively implemented;
Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities;
Ability to manage time and set priorities working with multiple users, tasks, projects and tight deadlines.
Experience with Workday ERP integrations using Cloud Connect Studio, EIB, or Web Service Calls;
Experience with other relevant ERP integrations using EDI, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net or Web Service Calls;
Experience with BI design, development and maintenance of large/complex business intelligence solutions using leading BI software (e.g. Power BI, Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services);
Experience with ETL design, development and maintenance of large/complex data warehouses using leading ETL software (e.g. Power BI, SQL Server Integration Services);
Experience with OLAP design, development and maintenance of large/complex data warehouses using leading OLAP software (e.g. SQL Server Analysis Services);
Architect SharePoint solutions that support client business objectives ;
Good understanding of SharePoint Online, Office365 and SharePoint Designer capabilities (administration, configuration and customization);
Understanding of accessibility requirements (AODA);
Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies;
Financial, Human Resources, and Student Information, software application experience;
Demonstrated ability to comprehend large and complex systems;
Relevant courses in Project Management , Enterprise/Business/Information Architecture and current development tools.
Job Grade l , Salary Scale ( $ 62,580-$107,280)
Target Hiring Range: $62,580-$66,500
