- Serves as ongoing Workday Financials Security function/product owner and business/process consultant, serving as ongoing support expert, including WD Security interaction with other Workday (WD) Finance products: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounting Center, Prism, Foundation Data Model.
- Assists business lines & other internal clients with WD Financials Security systems support, issue & opportunity resolution via ongoing support & development.
- Performs WD Security technical analysis and driving solutions that support the strategies and objectives of business lines.
- Compiles and analyzes detailed complex WD Security data, systems, and processes that often involve interpretive recommendations based on analysis.
- Provides initial WD Financials Security configuration implementation, and ongoing WD new release technical analysis, direction and support including research, prioritizing, development, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, implementation and monitoring of new or enhanced WD security configuration or processes.
- Acts as a WD Financials Security systems and processes consultant; and liaison for WD Financials Security project and periodic product new releases, and for ongoing WD Security system and process support, including identifying and driving WD Security improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates with internal and external resources to ensure successful requirements definition, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of Workday Financials Security functions and features in accordance with client needs.
- Serves as an informal lead of other WD Security team members, in coordinating and prioritizing workload for other US Bank Finance Security team members.
- Serves as primary ongoing communication, planning, and execution technical business consultant/analyst especially for Workday Financials Security product
- Participates setting Financial Systems Support team goal(s), examine alternatives, and gain consensus on WD Fin Security work for successful ongoing development and support for WD Financials Security.
- Collaborates with users to identify, coordinate, and execute WD Financials technical financial system and process steps, including gathering requirements, and providing technical expertise and guidance to successfully achieve area goals.
- Serves as the key technical consultant and analyst during Workday Financials Security product installation, and ongoing support: identifies, coordinates, and monitors internal opportunities, plan development and execution, testing, implementation, documentation, communication; ongoing post-implementation technical support; knowledge transfer and change management expert for WD Financials Security product.
- Serves as a strong collaborator and influencer among many interests within the Global Finance Systems Support team; and with US Bank Technology groups, reporting groups; and accounting groups in Controllership and business lines
- Works as a liaison and collaborator between internal US Bank groups listed above, plus external groups for the initial WD Finance Security implementation, and ongoing product support. Examples include system implementer partners, internal and external auditors, and product / software vendor (Workday).
- Is a lead in becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the WD Financials product; and leads efforts to share expertise with others on team and within US Bank. Serves as a key resource to assess / prioritize opportunities to optimize value of the WD Financials product, during and after initial implementation.
- Assists in preparing analysis, implementation steps and documentation to ensure a smooth implementation of the original WD Financials Security product, and ongoing new releases for WD Financials.
- Participates in problem resolution, release and new feature (opportunity) evaluation, provides continuing support and service as required.
- Keeps all users informed of technology direction and impact.
- Defines and assesses options for major decisions, via a Decision Document process, to reach a best overall option for US Bank to pursue
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Technology, or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of experience in computer technology applications and analysis, including project management
- 7+ years of experience with ERP System implementation, upgrade, or support
- 3 + years of experience working with Workday Financials products (Foundation Data Model, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounting Center, Prism, especially Security)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Management Information Systems with deep knowledge of accounting principles
- Existing and continuous building of knowledge of Finance / Banking industry-specific accounting and systems and processes, including financial data security
- CPA, CMA or equivalent accreditation or history
- Pursuit of or achievement of MBA or some other relevant post-graduate degree or certification
- Experience with – and comfort with informal or formal people leadership skills, including leading work direction, providing ongoing feedback and coaching, playing a large part in periodic and annual performance reviews; and goal setting and measurement / assessment toward these goals
- Strong end-to-end financial data, systems and process understanding and ability to drive improvement in these areas within finance and throughout the company, working with peers and internal customers in other areas of the company
- Strong Experience gathering business requirements and converting those requirements into a functional specification document
- Experience understanding hierarchies and a relational databases and online transaction processing
- Knowledge of finance operational processes, particularly period close & audit functions
- Strong continuous improvement mindset – both for financial / accounting systems and processes, and for personal growth and development
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
