About Us Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister-Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore-Max; Thames Valley Controls and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Founded in 1927, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

The Buyer Agent is responsible to manage the supply of goods and ordering of services to achieve on-time delivery and meet revenue and inventory goals. This position reports directly to Senior Purchasing Manager and is a member of the larger Procurement department. This position will require frequent contact with internal and external departments.

Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field preferred.
• Working experience/familiarity with ERP platforms; Infor VISUAL 9 ideal.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office required.

Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:

• Conduct all purchasing responsibilities associated with internal and external supply chain partners to maintain a high level of customer service
• Ensure all pricing and PO information in the ERP system is up-to-date and accurate prior to placing orders with suppliers.
• Verify all POs for accurate pricing, quantity, and delivery dates according to forecasted and immediate business needs.
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for materials according to immediate or anticipated business needs according to rolling 12-month forecasts for vendors.
• Assist in the Supplier Management and RFQ/RFP processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
• Ensure close cooperation with Scheduling, Production, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to ensure on-time raw materials delivery to support Production build schedules.
• Become knowledgeable in purchasing functions, systems, and processes.
• Manage transportation providers to ensure cost-effective movement of goods.
• Assist in cross-functional projects, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Track and monitor supplier performance via supplier scorecards.
• Other duties as assigned
