  3M APAC Service Center or GSC Philippines (PH) is one of the pioneering Shared Service Centers of 3M. 3M has 3 global service centers located in Poland, Costa Rica, and here in the Philippines. GSC PH has an array of services rendered to 3M subsidiaries which are clearly laid out in a Service Catalog. Process coverage includes Source To Pay (STP), Record To Report (RTR), Global Operations Support (GOS & IT), Hire To Retire (HTR), Global Channel Services (GCS), Master Data Management (MDM), etc.

  Specific to Source To Pay (STP), this is composed of both Purchasing (Buying) and Accounts Payable areas, which is an integral part of the end to end process for Sourcing. STP is in close coordination with local Sourcing and Finance organization, as processes are interconnected and entails follow through on related parties.

  3M is looking for Buyer Analyst to join on Philippines Global Service Center. Here, you go:

  Responsibilities:

  • Performs Transactional Buying Activities which includes but not limited to the following:
    • Managing the purchase order process to completion
    • Maintaining price information in the system
    • Follow through on PO deliveries and vendor coordination
    • Purchasing reporting activities
  • Resolving exceptions and handling inquiries from suppliers and clients;
  • Follows a variety of clearly defined procedures under general guidance within Sourcing areas;
  • Ensures compliance to internal source-to-pay business rules and SOX controls

  Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any Business, Engineering or Finance. For roles that require non-English language, candidate must have completed at least 2 year course related to any of these fields
  • Minimum 2 years experience within sourcing area or purchasing transactional activities
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Highly client service and quality oriented mindset
  • Proficient in research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Team oriented person who can focus on the details
  • Knowledge of sourcing principles
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Structured approach to effectively and efficiently planning own workload
