Job Description

- Analyze specifications, quality, quantity, and delivery requirements for the assigned complex product category.
- Determine the best supply source and survey markets for new supply sources.
- Recommend and source substitute items if the desired product is unavailable.
- Develop short and long-range purchasing strategies to optimize the supply base, reduce costs, and improve service to internal customers.
- Establish strong, collaborative relationships with selected suppliers and partner on joint continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate and create complex key supplier contracts based on competence, competitive standing, and alignment with company vision.
- Maintain cost control and drive cost reduction efforts.
- Prepare, analyze, evaluate, and issue quotations while ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and objectives.
- Complete purchase transactions and ensure all deliverables are met.
- Own sourcing strategy and conduct value analysis of risk management versus spend.
- Manage site inventory levels, product rejects, and chargebacks.
- Attend daily cross-functional team meetings and support parts flow to operations.
- Resolve escalated supplier issues effectively.
- Evaluate suppliers against quarterly supplier scorecards, perform site visits, and collect/analyze internal metric data.
- Ensure supplier compliance with all performance parameters.
- Stay updated on economic and business conditions that may affect purchasing strategy.
- Anticipate changing conditions and consult with senior management to make informed decisions.
- Participate in or lead cross-functional and key projects such as e-commerce, product development, and spend/cost reduction analysis.
- Prepare reports, conduct value analysis studies, and perform other procurement duties as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in purchasing or supply management.
- 1+ years of experience in sourcing packaging components or manufacturing services.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing purchasing strategies to support productivity and working capital objectives for an assigned product category. Your role will involve analyzing specifications, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining inventory levels. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to improve service and drive cost reductions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing or supply management, with knowledge of ERP systems and experience in sourcing packaging components or manufacturing services.
