      We are looking for a Buyer to act as primary procurement approver for corporate spend. This role is based at our site in Bathgate, Scotland.

      The Buyer will work closely with the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) and Corporate purchase order owners to release purchase orders ensuring full compliance to terms, contractual status and in compliance with the Global Procurement Policy.

      The Role

      • Work with the GPO to process contracts for approval via the Catalent Contract Management System ensuring compliance to the Contracting Policy and Transactional Approval Policy.

      • Facilitate sourcing activity for GPO project owners using RFP/RFI/e-Auction templates

      • Process Vendor set-up requests and ongoing Vendor maintenance

      • Process Confidentiality Agreements

      • Various project support for Category Leadership such as Capex.

      • Invoice resolution support

      • Responsible for ensuring suppliers adhere to the Terms & Conditions specified on the purchase order and resolves challenges, for implementing the Procurement guidelines on site and contributing to its local deployment.

      • Complies with and follows all procedures within the company Security, EHS and Global

      • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner to ensure avoidance of all actual and potential conflicts of interest.

      The Candidate

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain or comparable disciplines.

      • Proven procurement experience

      • Excellent proactive problem solving and analytical skills.

      • Sound working knowledge and experience of procurement practices, principles, process, tools, and methodologies.

      • High personal integrity and ethics with uncompromising standards.

      • Self-motivated, disciplined, and focused, can prioritise tasks.

      • Advanced PC stills specifically in Excel, PowerPoint and Word including a knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

      • Able to form relationships with a variety of individuals between departments, functions and at all levels of the organization.
