      Job Title: Buyer

      Job Description

      Join one of Canada's largest growing companies as a Buyer within our dynamic procurement team. This role requires proficiency in SAP and IFS ERP systems to efficiently manage tasks throughout the P2P process. The Buyer will be integral to maintaining purchase order integrity, ensuring vendor compliance with quality standards, and supporting the procurement lifecycle. The role will begin as a 6-Month Contract.

      Responsibilities

      • Generate, document, issue, review, and receive purchase orders and requisitions for material orders.
      • Maintain purchase order integrity in alignment with ERP systems and manage exception messages generated by these systems.
      • Collaborate with the supplier quality assurance team to ensure all vendors adhere strictly to the Quality Management System.
      • Provide vendor management to ensure all material and resource orders meet customer requirements and delivery expectations.
      • Communicate inbound and outbound shipment statuses to appropriate departments and identify any potential or realized delays.
      • Distribute procurement information to other departments and coordinate all material movements.
      • Adhere to material spend and inventory goals.
      • Identify new suppliers and foster positive, long-term relationships.
      • Monitor material inventory levels and determine purchasing demands.

      Essential Skills

      • 2+ years of experience in a buyer or procurement position, including dealing with suppliers, managing purchase orders, expediting, and PO invoice reconciliation.
      • Experience using ERP systems.
      • Intermediate Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables and formulas.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Visual experience.
      • Experience in the manufacturing or aerospace industry.
      • Post-secondary degree in supply chain management or a related field.
      • Six Sigma certification.
      • Data analysis skills.
      • APICS certification is an asset.
      • Ability to read engineering drawings.

      Work Environment

      This is an in-office position located near the Calgary airport. The team consists of 8 buyers, working in pairs within their offices. The role requires a Monday to Friday shift from 8am to 4pm, with an unpaid lunch break. The work culture is characterized by a family-feel environment, offering a flexible schedule and an open-door policy.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.05/hr.
