      We are looking for a Buyer who will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement process within our organization. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, transportation carriers, and internal teams to ensure material availability and optimal inventory levels while supporting operational efficiency and achieving department performance goals.

      Introduction & What you will do (Job Function & Responsibilities):

      • Purchase Order Management: Create and maintain Blanket Purchase Orders and Standard Purchase Orders, while ensuring a timely acknowledgment of Purchase Orders from suppliers.
      • Supplier and Inventory Coordination: Maintain direct contact with suppliers and transportation carriers to meet current and projected customer requirements. Collaborate with Material Planning and Operations departments to implement appropriate procurement methods (JIT, Reorder Point, Consignment, etc.).
      • Root Cause Analysis: Assist with Root Cause/Corrective Actions to resolve material supply issues, while continuing to contribute to resolving material quality issues and enhancing manufacturing productivity.
      • Performance Goals: Achieve department performance goals, including Purchase Price Variance (PPV), supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD), inventory reduction, and successful new product development launches.
      • Supplier Development: Identify and develop new sources for existing materials to improve overall quality and on-time delivery.
      • Risk Management: Identify supply risks and develop countermeasures to ensure continuity of supply.
      • Supply Chain Optimization: Utilize tools (VBS toolbox, LCR sourcing, kaizen, direct negotiation) to achieve optimal supply chain solutions for quality, delivery, and cost.
      • Supplier Payment Management: Ensure prompt payment of suppliers by verifying that Purchase Order prices match vendor invoice prices.

      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

      Skill Sets:

      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
      • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Access).
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Project Management concepts and methods.

      Education:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

      PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

      • 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field (preferred).
      • Experience in procurement or supply chain management.
