Buyer/Planner
Headquarters based in Columbia, SC | Hybrid

This role is responsible for supply planning and purchasing of imported sourced products within an SAP environment to meet customer demand, and in accordance with working capital strategies.

What you will do:

• Material requirement planning for issuing of purchase orders to support inventory targets
• Scheduling and production planning around seasonal and supplier constraints
• Analysis of data relating to product demand and supply shortages
• Prioritizing production with OEM suppliers to meet customer demand
• Participate in projects to improve system functionality and processes for the overall team
• Provide reporting and analysis to support continuous improvement projects
• Maintain performance in key measures to support inventory goals
• Work with international buying teams to coordinate purchases from Asia suppliers

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2 - 4 years of experience in supply planning, preferably in consumer packaged goods industry
• Experience with MRP purchasing and inventory control
• Experience dealing with seasonal selling cycles with long lead-times a plus
• BA degree in business related field and APICS certification a plus
