      Job Description

      Reporting to the Manager, Womenswear Buying, the Buying Coordinator, Womenswear is responsible for supporting both Buyers and Assistant Buyers, ensuring orders and relevant reports are delivered in a timely and precise manner. They will work closely with the Buying team, operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership and initiative with a strong sense of industry trends and appreciation for the Womenswear industry.

      Responsibilities

      Reporting 10%

      • Generate accurate weekly inter and cross-departmental sales data reports for the Womenswear Buying team as well as vendor facing reports (ex. sell through reports) to gauge year-to-date sales against plan and ensure the business is on track against its key metrics
      • Work collaboratively with the Merchandise Planning team to deliver performance based reports to Buyers and Assistant Buyers prior to market appointments to accurately inform and optimize the buys

      PO Creation and Maintenance 50%

      • Ensure purchase orders are entered in a timely manner and in accordance with department standards
      • Review order confirmations and flag any discrepancies in a timely manner to the respective Buyer
      • Identify and tag carryover products in the system
      • Support inventory management through the creation of ad hoc logistics-related purchase orders

      Operation Support 40%

      • Maintain daily cross departmental communication and develop strong collaboration among team members in order to problem solve effectively and offer support when needed
      • Provide strong follow up on varying day-to-day tasks leveraging internal and external relationships to ensure completion in a timely manner so business needs are met
      • Participate in the production of the industry report, highlighting new trends, new brands, top investment etc.
      • Increase hands on knowledge of the buying business by providing support to buying team members with ad hoc projects
      • Participate in providing insights on emerging category trends or brands within Womenswear industry to the Buyer or Manager
      • Support customer services and personal shopping with product and inventory enquiries, with the support of the Manager, Womenswear Buying.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Buying, Merchandising, or a related field
      • A minimum of 1 year relevant experience, preferably in the fashion and retail industry
      • Excellent skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
      • Good written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
