      Job Description:

      Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site is looking for Cabin Installers, Structures Assemblers and Electricians to join our A320 Line 2 Prod Team in Mobile, AL.

      Position Summary:

      Cabin Installers, Electrical Installers and Structures Assemblers assist the Station 35 Operations Leader in providing an orderly flow of production according to the schedule. This includes assigning work, securing materials and tools, training operators and reporting and monitoring production quality and output. Activities are limited to a specific function or area.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Assumes all routine production responsibilities of the Operations Leader in the leader's absence.
      • Troubleshoots production issues and secures necessary assistance to resolve them.
      • Reviews production schedule and assigns work to facilitate meeting schedules.
      • Establishes an orderly flow of parts, tools and materials.
      • Keeps production records and monitors for accuracy of reporting.
      • In conjunction with Quality monitors line quality and notifies personnel of deviations.
      • Assists manager in performance reviews, recommends disciplinary action, promotion, etc.
      • Is an advocate for LEAN within group; encourages LEAN thinking and supports and assists in the implementation of LEAN initiatives/KAIZENS.
      • Ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations/company policies and procedures relating to workmanship.
      • Trains new operators and cross-trains as assigned.
      • May be responsible for coordinating activities with other contractors.
      • Performs work on aircraft and may also fill in for absent operators as necessary.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

      Education:

      Required: high school diploma or GED

      Experience:

      • Must possess 2 years of aviation experience.
      • Must have minimum 1 year specific Station 35 activities: Installation of fuel system, Panel Installation IWO Belly Fairing, Empennage Rigging of HTP & VTP & flight controls testing, Wing System slat & Flap Installation, Cabin floor, seats & walls installation, Cargo Floor, wall, ceiling lining installation, door rigging & radome installation.
      • Leadership experience preferred.

      • A thor o ugh kn owledge of processes being used in Stati on 35 area of responsibility ( Fuel, Belly Fairing, Empennage, Wing System (Flaps & slats installation), Cabin & Cargo ).
      • Strong and strict adherence to FOD and To ol C o ntrol procedures.
      • Strong organizati o nal skill s.

      Commun i c ati on Skills:

      • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

      Te c hn i c al Systems Profi cie n cy:

      • Must be able to use Google WorkSpace, SA P, MES, Zamiz, DocMaster, and Aircraft Prog r ess.

      Physical Requirements:

      • Vision: adequate to enter a nd read m aterial on comp uter screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate gr eetin gs, the giving of directio ns and other business interacti o ns.
      • H earing : able to hear suffi ciently to engage in c o nversation in office settin gs Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
      • Speaking : able to e ngage in co nversatio ns in pers on and via elect r o nic means and deliver in f o rmati on to gr o ups of varying size with or with o ut amplificatio n.
      • Equipment Operati o n : ab le to o perate a wide range of to ols and equipment incl u ding hydraulic lifts and ar ms.
      • Carryin g: able to occasi o nally carry up to 20lb s/9kg which engaging in trainin g, addressing producti on issues or as part of co ntinu o us improvement projects.
      • Lifting: able to occasi o nally lift up to 30lb s/14kg.
      • Pushi ng/Pullin g : able to push/pull items in offi ce areas and on sh op fl oor.
      • Sittin g: able to sit f or extended peri o ds of time at c o m puter and in meetings.
      • Sq uattin g/Kneelin g : able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
      • Stan din g: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering inf o rmati o n.
      • Travel /Mo bility : able to travel o verseas and domestically s o metimes for extend ed periods of ti me and on sh ort n otice.
      • Able to w ork: o u tside hangers in changing locati o ns. Able to w ork on m ovable lifts at the aircraft at a heig ht of approximately 40 ft. S o metim es w orking in a ventila ted fuel tank with a mask in a co nfined space. Able to e nter a wing through a 9.8 inch by 17.7 inch oval o pening.
      • Walking: able to walk th r o ugh office and pr o ducti on areas, ar o und flight line and airstrips and s o metimes on uneven in d oor or o utd oor surfaces, other business interacti o ns.
