      Job Title: Cabinet Maker/Millwork Carpenter


      Job Description

      Join our dynamic shop and install team as a Cabinet Maker/Millwork Carpenter. This role combines technical woodworking expertise with meticulous attention to detail in both installation and machine setup. Ideal candidates will have a solid tenure in the carpentry industry and be skilled in operating various woodworking machinery.

      Responsibilities

      • Interpret architectural and shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute precise project specifications.
      • Set up woodworking machines, including saws, milling, and sanding equipment, to manufacture components.
      • Lift and secure large wood pieces onto machines for processing.
      • Operate woodworking machines to produce parts according to specifications.
      • Utilize hand and power tools efficiently to complete tasks.
      • Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, oiling, and blade replacements.
      • Assist in the installation of completed pieces when required.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
      • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
      • Experience in setting up and operating woodworking machines.
      • Capability to perform routine maintenance on woodworking machinery.
      • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • 10 years of experience in the woodworking industry, preferably in a shop or design field.
      • Proficiency in CNC programming and design.
      • Familiarity with CNC design software.
      • Experience with Biesse CNC machines is a plus.
      • Ability to conduct material take-offs and quantify materials.
      • Physical ability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

      This is a Contract position based out of Branford, Connecticut.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
