- Define and maintain project timelines that span an average of 2 - 3 months in length
- Divide and delegate module tasks that are basic to moderate in scope
- Identify and apply industry best practices when applicable
- Assist in rules creation for rules-based artificial intelligence automated agents.
- Convert basic rules-based designs into code for automated bill of material, assembly drawing, and flat file outputs
- Provide input to project leaders for estimating and scheduling projects to meet development costs and completion dates, in accordance with new product introduction practices
- Develop test programs for new software
- Analyze test data and report to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks
- Provide assistance to other users of knowledge-based engineering systems and software

- Be part of a team creating and maintaining world-class, rule-based AI infrastructure
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Drafting
- 0 to 4 years of experience in Drafting, Design or Engineering Systems. The job grade (Configurator, Sr., or Principal) will be based on candidate experience

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Drafting

Daikin Applied is seeking a CAD Automation Configurator, Sr., or Principal who will be responsible for using knowledge-based engineering for the design and development of the rule-based software systems. Independently convert engineering design rules into software programs that generate drawings, bills of materials, and other manufacturing and engineering documents.
Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN
Job Grade: The job grade (Configurator, Sr., or Principal) will be based on candidate experience

The typical annual base salary/hourly rate for this position ranges from $53,500 - $117,200 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
