- Assist with the coordination of activities with Engineering, Manufacturing and Production in order to produce machined parts needed by said departments.
- Provide support for the Tool & Die department by interpreting and translating CAD data into the CAM software to create machine code.
- Interpret general designs prepared by others to complete minor details as needed.
- Extract components from mold assembly drawings to produce 3D electrodes.
- Prepare 3 & 5 Axis machine code for CNC Machinists.
- Maintain skills by attending training classes in machining theory, machine code programming and CAD/CAM processes as needed.
- All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
- Assume additional related responsibilities as needed.
- 5-10 years of related experience and/or training, including extensive CNC Machining experience and a basic working knowledge of 3D CAD systems (including Solid Works).
- Ability to write and debug machine code programs using Master CAM for CNC mill & lathe controls, including 3 and 5 axis.
- Ability to draw solid models for producing machine codes using MasterCam.
- Experience with injection molding is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new skills and perform new tasks.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
