What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls to collect payments for medical expenses while providing exceptional customer service
- Document demographic, insurance, and relevant patient information accurately in internal technology platforms
- Educate patients on the healthcare revenue cycle, repayment programs, and incentives
- Actively listen to callers, clarifying information and addressing concerns to diffuse upset patients
- Adhere to department processes and industry regulations while fostering teamwork and collaboration
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service capacity
- Familiarity with contact center processes and techniques
- Basic understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, collections industry, and medical insurance terminology
- Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in all job-related duties
