      Summary

      We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Practice Communications Coordinator to join our Gynecology department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-volume, fast paced environment, and possess exceptional communication and customer service skills. This role involves managing a large number of incoming calls, scheduling appointments, providing accurate information, and ensuring a superior level of patient service and satisfaction.


      Responsibilities

      • Handle a high volume of incoming calls efficiently and courteously
      • Schedule and confirm patient appointments for gynecological services quickly and accurately
      • Provider clear and precise information regarding services, procedures, and policies
      • Triage patient inquiries effectively and direct them to the appropriate provider/staff member
      • Manage and update patient records in EPIC
      • Address patient concerns and complaints with empathy and escalate issues as necessary
      • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
      • Work collaboratively with health-care providers and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations

      Requirements

      • High school diploma or equivalent; some college or health-care related experience preferred
      • Proven experience in a high-volume call center, customer service, or health-care setting
      • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EPIC is preferred
      • Ability to multi task and remain calm under pressure in a fast paced environment
      • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
      • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
      • Bilingual abilities are an asset but not required
