What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to physician and community provider needs to ensure appropriate and timely access to care for patients
- Provide prompt responses to appointment requests via telephone, fax, and online portals
- Engage directly with patients to support timely and appropriate appointment scheduling
- Accurately document patient and physician information using Baystate clinical and administrative computer programs
- Utilize quality/process improvement strategies in daily activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET
- Customer service experience preferred
- Typing speed of more than 25 words per minute
- 2 years prior experience in a physician office or customer service setting
- Completed or willing to complete a medical terminology course within one year of hire
