      Job summary

      The Rotherham CAMHS Service have gone through a period of service redesign and therefore have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to join our Getting Advice Pathway Team. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team completing assessments and providing evidence based interventions, advice and support to professionals, parents and young people.

      Main duties of the job

      We are looking for a CAMHS Practitioner who is passionate about delivering high quality and effective services to children, young people and their families. You will be child and young person centered in your approach and have excellent clinical skills, experience of multi-agency working and be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and autonomously. You will have experience of working within a children and young people safeguarding framework.

      As a service we are committed to the professional development of the workforce, we have a well- established preceptorship programme and clinical, safeguarding and managerial supervision alongside a talent management programme.

      Experience

      Essential

      • Post qualification experience
      • Managing and Prioritising a complex caseload
      • Experience of Multi-Disciplinary Working
      • Currently engaged in an advanced level of practice and able to demonstrate a degree of professional autonomy
      • The ability to provide patientcentered assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation with children, young people, parents and families using mental health nursing skills.
      • Ability to undertake Risk Assessments and identify appropriate plans in partnerships with the young person, families and other agencies

      Desirable

      • Experience of working with children and young people
      • Planning and delivery presentations and training to groups
