      Position Overview

      Under the direction and guidance of the Manager, Health & Fitness and within the mission of the Wellness Institute, this person will be responsible for planning the Children’s Summer Camps and providing operation and marketing support.

      Experience

      • Experience planning and coordinating structured children’s educational and physical activities.
      • Experience in social media marketing.

      • Name checked through the Child Abuse Registry Check.
      • CPR.

      Qualifications and Skills

      • Must between the ages of 15-30 years (stipulation for grant funding).
      • Strong communication skills.
      • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
      • Assist with development of Children’s Programming.
      • Planning weekly camp schedules.
      • Plan age-appropriate and accessible activities for all camps.
      • Organize and purchase supplies.
      • Assist in planning promotional and marketing materials.
      • Adhere to budgets as assigned by the Manager, Health & Fitness.
      • Creating programming framework; developing policies and procedures.
      • Assist with operations, providing support as required.
      • Ensure effective communication with other WI staff and departments as appropriate.

      This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

      Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
