The Opportunity
Would you like to keep campus mail running smoothly and efficiently? WSU Vancouver has a Campus Mail Processor opportunity for someone with mail processing and shipping and receiving experience.
The Mail Processor will sort, classify and rate international and domestic mail for proper postage, and distribute mail for the WSU Vancouver campus. You will also perform Facilities package receiving and disbursement actions by utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Aim. You may also serve as a subject matter expert with coworkers or represent the University to vendors serving the campus.
Percentage Breakdown of Job Functions:
60% Mail Delivery/Collection and Material Transport
20% Mail Processing Administration
10% Customer Service
5% Packaging
5% Other duties as assigned.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
This position works on-site on the WSU Vancouver campus. This position is not eligible for remote/hybrid work assignments.
Monthly Salary: $3,028 to $3,393 | Range 34, Steps A to F | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications
High School graduation or equivalent AND possession of a valid unrestricted motor vehicle operator’s license AND one year of experience sorting and distributing mail.
Experience with shipping and/or receiving at a medium/large sized institution.
Department of Transportation (DOT) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) certification for packaging and/or marking of hazardous materials for domestic and international shipping certification or the ability to obtain both within the first twelve (12) months.Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain within first six (6) months.
