Summary of Position

The campus pastor leads the people at his campus to carry out the mission and vision of The Summit Church at his campus. He is responsible for everything that occurs at the campus.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A godly man who meets the requirements of an elder as laid out in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 3.

• Passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ and committed to living out the Great Commission.

• 5 years of full-time ministry experience or 7 years of work experience in a management or leadership role with a track record of success

• Ability to create and lead teams to accomplish goals

• A problem solver who knows how to get things done with the resources at hand

• A team player who works well with his colleagues to achieve the goals of the church

• A member or willing to become a member of The Summit Church

• Good public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

The campus pastor is ultimately responsible to lead his staff, elders, and campus to accomplish the following areas of ministry:

• Prepare for and execute the weekend service - Maintaining excellence and meeting Summit standards in all areas of the weekend church service: Guest Services, Summit Kids, Middle School, Worship and Production Teams.

• Build and Grow the Spiritual Formation Ministries: Small Group & Men’s and Women’s Discipleship

• Run and sustain an engaging and vibrant Family Ministry

• Spiritually lead and pastorally care for the congregation including but not limited to performing weddings and funerals, hospital visits, evangelism, and church discipline.

• Mobilize the congregation in ministering to the community’s felt needs through community service and outreach.

• Disciple and mobilize the congregation in caring for the nations through both short term trips and long term commitments to overseas missions.
