- Work with other safety officers and Campus Safety Manager to provide security to Spalding University.
- Maintain a culture of proactive thinking throughout the university in order to maintain a safe and secure campus environment for a diverse community of students, faculty, staff and visitors.
- Learn and utilize crime prevention and community policing strategies to assist in a reduction of campus incidents.
- Attend safety education programs and campaigns as well as other training available to ensure a high level of knowledge, skills and competencies.
- Utilize cameras and other security equipment to provide timely service to those we serve.
- Follow University emergency management policies and procedures in an effort to mitigate escalation of situations on campus.
- Report daily the findings of the patrols and daily communication with others regarding needs of the community.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local institutional regulations, including all elements of the Clery and Menger Act.
- Other tasks as requested or assigned.

Campus Safety Officer
JOB SUMMARY
Provide patrols and security services for the University campus to ensure the safety of faculty, staff and students as well as the buildings and equipment located on campus.
Hourly wage for this position is $15.00 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical coverage, 403b, 23 Paid Time Off days, 21 Holidays, tuition remission, and much more.
