      THIS IS A CONTINUOUS RECRUITMENT AND EXAMINATION PROCESS.
      IT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME, WITH LITTLE OR NO NOTICE.

      Under the direction of the site administrator, or designee, monitors and directs student activities in hallways and throughout the school campus. Patrols buildings, grounds, hallways, restrooms to maintain security to students and staff members.
      1. Provides general campus supervision, including hallways, restrooms,classrooms, cafeteria, and areas adjacent to the school buildings.
      2. Monitors and directs student activities in hallways, restrooms and areas adjacent to the school buildings.
      3. Monitors grounds and buildings for signs of unauthorized persons, vandalism, fire, and other potential hazards that might cause harm to students, staff or property.
      4. Controls, monitors and provides direction to unauthorized persons on the campus and in the parking lot areas.
      5. Assists and directs campus visitors to authorized parking areas and appropriate offices or classrooms.
      6. Reports inappropriate student behavior to proper school authority; assists, as directed by school authorities, in stopping disturbances and undue distractions in school and school grounds.
      7. Provides traffic and parking lot control.
      8. Patrol school campus premises before, during, and after school hours to prevent/discourage infraction of school policies and other violations.
      9. Diffuse confrontations and otherwise discourage violence on or near school campus.
      10. Assists law enforcement officers, as directed by the site administrator; may prepare vandalism, property damage, and/or incident reports.
      11. Attend related training seminars, as appropriate.
      12. Other related duties, as assigned.

      Experience:
      One year of plant protection/security experience or responsible work with children/adolescent groups. Experience in an educational setting is desirable.

      Education:
      Equivalent to completion of high school. Coursework and/or training in public safety, child psychology, or other training related to the position.

      License and Certifications:
      • Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license.
      • First Aid and CPR certificates issued by an authorized agency.

      Examination
      The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the examination. It may consist of a qualifying written multiple-choice exam, performance exam or equivalent, and oral interview exam. Those invited will be required to take the exam and notified via email communication of the scheduled date, time, and location. A valid picture identification is required prior to admittance.
      Work Schedule:
      This position typically works full-time, eight (8) hours per day, and observes the student calendar.

      Salary and Benefits:
      The initial hiring rate for a new employee is at the first step of the appropriate salary schedule for the position. The probationary period is 130 work days in paid status. Upon completing the probationary period for permanent status, a one-step salary advance will be granted with future annual advances up to the fifth step of the salary schedule.

      Physical Demands:
      Significant standing and walking; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, reaching; hand/finger dexterity to utilize two-way radio, telephone, writing instruments, and computer keyboard/mouse to conduct work; normal vision and hearing with or without correction.

      Working Conditions :
      Indoor and outdoor environment, subject to climate-controlled temperatures, and seasonal heat, cold and/or adverse weather conditions. Exposure to noise, such as school bells, automobiles/buses, students, parents, staff, and office equipment; potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
