      Description

      Job Summary

      The Capital Market Specialist provides support for all functions within the Capital Markets department. The Capital Market Specialist will be trained in all tactical functions crucial to the secondary loan market.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Perform duties as necessary in a cross-functional manner in the following functions: Lock Desk Operations, Rate Sheet Production, Bulk Bid Pricing and Support functions, Support functions for GNMA pooling, Loan Commitment and Delivery to Agencies and other investors, Purchase Advice Processing and Reconciliation, Production of standard Capital Markets reports and presentations.
      • Ad-hoc analysis of data and report creation as need.
      • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

      Position Requirements

      Education

      • Bachelors degree in information systems, accounting, or finance required.

      Experience

      • 2 years experience in capital markets within the mortgage industry preferred but not required.
      • 2 years experience in a capital markets/fixed income operations role is preferred but not required.

      Functional/Technical Skills

      • Must be proficient in MS Excel
      • Must be detail-oriented
      • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Must have the ability to work under pressure, multi-task, meet deadlines and maintain focus
      • Capital Markets / Secondary Marketing experience in the mortgage industry is a plus
      • Experience with Ellie Maes Encompass or Optimal Blue is a plus
      • An ability to demonstrate prior experience in a fast-paced operational role is a plus

      Compensation & Benefits:
      The wage range for this position is $26.33 to $36.21 (Planet uses factors such as credentials, skills, education, training, and geographic location when considering offers of compensation).

      Environmental/Physical Demands

      • On occasion, this position may be required to work a 12-8 PM ET shift.

      Work is typically performed in a standard office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sustain predictable work attendance, communicate with others, frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use arms, hands and fingers to reach, handle or touch.
